Style and Approach

Whenever I am meeting someone new, I like to take time and fully voice the big things, the hard things, that set the stage for our work together.

Let's name how we're both showing up in this space today. Let's shed light on the ways in which our identities and experiences may be affecting the way we relate to one another. I am here to acknowledge how the broken systems our world was built on disempower those I serve, and I want to discuss how we can counter that in a collaborative way. I adopt a non-pathologizing and anti-carceral approach to healing that stresses the importance of client autonomy and aims to normalize the human experience rather than diagnose it.

I am Internal Family Systems Therapy trained and certified in Reiki as a Level 1 practitioner. I also recently completed the Equitable Care Certification to provide comprehensive mental health services for sex-working individuals. In the future, I hope to complete my training and certification as a Therapeutic Game master so that I can incorporate tabletop roleplaying games into my healing work.
